Terms of service

Who provides the service. The owner named in the Legal notice. These terms apply from the moment you ask for your website on faronda.es and tick this box.

What the service is. We build your business’s website and show it to you finished. Nothing goes live until you say so. Afterwards you change the words, the photos and the hours yourself, from your phone.

What it costs. The website costs nothing and stays free for as long as you want it. It carries a small link that reads «Hecho con faronda». Removing that link, having your own domain or adding languages does cost: the price is on the prices page and you see it before you pay. We take no commission on your customers.

No contract and no minimum term. You can leave whenever you want. If you stop paying for something, what was paid for stops showing and the free website carries on: we do not take it down for that.

What belongs to whom. Everything you put in is yours: your words, your photos, your details and your customers, and the words we wrote for you too. You take it with you whenever you want, at no cost. The template, the design and what lies underneath are ours: it is the same for every business, so you do not take the assembled website, you take what is yours.

Your domain. If you buy a domain through faronda, it is registered in your name. You can take it with you whenever you want, at no cost. If you stop paying for it we do not renew it, and we warn you before it expires because it can take your email with it.

What you let us do with your photos and words. Only publish them on your website and fit them to it: crop a photo, correct a sentence, translate it if you have paid for that. Nothing else. Not sell them, not use them for another business.

What we ask of you. That the website is for a real business that is yours, that what you publish is lawful, and that the photos are yours or you have permission to use them. If something breaks the law or someone’s rights we may take it down; we tell you, and we tell you why.

What we cannot promise. Nobody can decide where your business appears when somebody searches. We build the website to be understood and to load fast, and we keep the service running as well as we know how, but there can be outages or mistakes. If we cause you a loss and it is our fault, we answer up to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. This does not limit what consumer law grants you.

Your data and your customers’ data. How we treat your data is in the privacy policy. The messages your customers send you through the website are yours: we only hold them to deliver them to you, and when you leave we return them or delete them, as you prefer.

Changes to these terms. If they change, the version date changes and we tell you in your panel before they apply. If you do not agree you can leave, and the above still holds: you take what is yours.

Law and courts. Spanish law applies. For any dispute the courts of your home apply if you are a consumer; otherwise, those of the owner’s registered address.

This is an English translation, provided so that this page can be read. The Spanish version is the one that governs: if there is any discrepancy between the two, the Spanish text prevails.
